Hyundai hopes to sell 500,000 cars till 2013

Hyundai Motor Company has big plans in Europe for the next 2 years. According to Reuters, Hyunday aims to sell 500,000 cars by 2013.

In 2010 Hyundai sold a number of 358,284 cars, the Korean automaker told Automative News Europe.  At the moment the goal is to achieve 5% market share by 2015. Hyundai Europe Chief Operating Officer Allan Rushforth also said: “Our medium-term forecast is to sell half a million cars by 2013”.

The interview with Mr. Rushforth will be published in Automative News Europe on June 22 edition. For Rushford the main rival for Europe is Opel, but he plans to boost production at its plant in Nosovice, Czech Republic to 300,ooo units per year altough the European market isn’t at its best.
