Wait for it, wait for it….. and it is finally here!
This week the magic 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo has shown its face and of course, its price. Surprising or not, this Veloster will charge $21,950 for its services, not including the shipping money (approximately $775).
If we are to compare it with the previous version of Veloster, we would say that this Turbo exceeds the limit with $2,500. And if you want to bring some upgradings you will have to pay another thousand for a six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, one more for the gorgeous paint or $2,500 for the Ultimate Package (a panoramic sunroof, backup warning sensors, automatic headlights, a navigation system with rearview camera and a 115-volt power outlet).
Who doesn’t want to pay that much, can be satisfied with the 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four, that generates 201 horsepower and 194 pound-feet of torque.
And last but not least, Hyundai says that the Veloster Turbo will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers of 26/38/30 miles per gallon (city/highway/combined).
A new Hyundai is making its way to the market. The South Korean market!
Hyundai Veloster comes in a turbo, three-door hatchback version. More powerful, beautiful and impressive. No wonder, since it has a turbo 1.6 liter GDi engine capable of generating 204 horsepower and peak torque of 27 kilogram-meters.
And the outside doesn’t disappoint either: hexagonal front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights and manual or automatic transmission.
According to a Hyundai Motor official member “The Veloster Turbo is an upgrade to match customer demand for a higher performance model. The new 1.6-liter T-GDi four-cylinder engine features a high-compression, twin-scroll turbocharger that brings much more fun to curvy roads.”
People, people of the world we are all very excited about the beginning of the 2012 New York Auto Show.
Now let’s see what this has brought us!
Until now, the most impressive Korean representative is Hyundai’s Santa Fe 2013 edition. Some details about this would include an extra overall length which allows more luggage space, the engine line is expected to be 2.2 R-Engine 2-stage diesel CRDi for Europe and South Korea.
The fluidic sculpture, panoramic sunroof, blue link and a six-speed automatic transmission are also available.
Until further news, take a look at these wonderful official pictures!
The interior of the 2013 Kia K9 has been recently revealed and it looks gooood. The first thing that you will notice when entering into a Kia K9 is the Opirus logo on the steering wheel.
In order to continue with this “mixed line”, another borrowed element is the platform of Hyundai Equus which sustains the entire weight of the 5.0 V8 GDi engine that can produce up to 429 horsepower with its eight-speed automatic transmission. Beside this, Kia is expected to introduce V6 and V8 engines with gasoline direct injection and 8 speed automatic transmission.
All we have for now are the spy shots caught in South Korea but we are eager to find out all there is to know about this cool car!
