2011 Kia Optima: “One Epic Ride” Big Game Commercial
After a loooong weekend and another weekend to come, no one feels like working anymore, but we have to do that too, right? Well, in order to sweeten your day, we have made a short balance of the last month´s sales for the unique Kia.
Apparently it was a good month, since we can say proudly that the magic number for Kia was 47,550 units. WOW! No wonder, Kia Motors America has become the fastest growing car company in the last 5 years. The queens of the months were Optima, Sorento and Soul, especially with the former two ones leading the top.
According to Byung Mo Ahn, group president and CEO of KMA, “Our record April performance is the latest illustration of how far the Kia brand has progressed as we continue to attract new customers with our unique value formula of world-class design, outstanding fuel efficiency, premium features and cutting-edge technologies.”
Hey, who are we to stop them, right?
So Kia, we wish you well and a double number for the future month!
The latest news informs us that Kia is recalling almost 145,755 vehicles in the United States because of the cars’ supplementary restraint system. The models affected by this problem are the 2006-08 Optima sedan (those produced between September 29, 2005 and January 29, 2008) and Rondo MPVs (manufactured between September 13, 2006 and March 21, 2008).
The main problem lies in the clock spring of the airbag assembly, which can damage very easily over time. The owners who have bought these models are advised to visit the nearest authorized dealer and change their airbag clock, free of charge, of course.

Apparently, there was a leak and new pictures of the 2013 Kia Forte 4-door sedan have made their way into the public world. Its official launching date is in 2012 and it is said that it will successfully replace the Forte sedan which has been on sale since the year 2009.
However, (you were expecting this right?) there are some critics who say that this Kia Forte looks strikingly similar to Hyundai Elantra. The only difference is that the front and rear are taken from Optima. Auch! This is like a slap in the face.
Regardless of the many anonymous opinions, I still think it looks good and brings a fresh design on the table.
What do you think?
