Hyundai Elantra wins the small car competition

In a comparison of compact cars, Hyundai Elantra came out on top. The latest contest was conducted by automotive consumer site cars.com.

In the competition were included 5 cars that have made huge impression in the past months: Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Kia Forte.

The cars are good for 5 people, cost less than $20.000 and travel at least 35 miles per gallon. The 2011 Hyundai Elantra won the contest after members of a Chicago area family and graders from cars.com evaluated the car’s performance, features, ride comfort and design.

Most people chose Elantra because the 2011 model is a combination between price and high fuel economy.

Another contest was in March truecar.com picked the Elantra as the car with the best fuel economy. Consumer Reports Magazine also rated the Elantra in April as the best choice for the car shoppers.
