Kia is in trouble!
The latest news informs us that Kia is recalling almost 145,755 vehicles in the United States because of the cars’ supplementary restraint system. The models affected by this problem are the 2006-08 Optima sedan (those produced between September 29, 2005 and January 29, 2008) and Rondo MPVs (manufactured between September 13, 2006 and March 21, 2008).
The main problem lies in the clock spring of the airbag assembly, which can damage very easily over time. The owners who have bought these models are advised to visit the nearest authorized dealer and change their airbag clock, free of charge, of course.
