Ssang Young again in China

Ssang Motor Company (SYMC) announced on Wednesday, June 8th that it has signed a distributorship contract with a large automobile sales company from China.

The two companies shook hands in a ceremony held at Pyeongtaek Plant where SYMC signed the contract. SYMC wants to collaborate with Pang Da Automobile Trade and SCAS Investment group to expand the dealership up to 150 by 2013.

SYMC hopes the new flagship model – Korando – will be a success and expects sales of between 30,000 to 50,000 vehicles annually for its company by 2013.

SYMC has also exporting plans and wants to expand the collaboration with distributors from around the world.

Pang Da is the largest automobile sales company from China with sales record of 470.000 units in 2010.

Ssangyong wants to export cars from Russia to Latin America.

With close cooperation with our Chinese partners, we will expand the export volume and make China  Ssangyong’s strategic platform for export, declared Lee Yoo-il, president and CEO of SYMC.
