Ssangyong is ready to turn electric

South Korean manufacturer Ssangyong is back after the toughest time of its existence. Now SYMC displays hard work and hopes for the best sales for the future.
While SUT 1 was launched at Geneva Auto Show, the car maker is sure the vehicle will become a force to be reckoned in Asia and around the world.


Ssangyong has plans to expand its business in the USA and concerning the sales hopes for 120000 units globally. The Korean company is ready to launch the Korando SUV, a model with a 160 horsepower electric motor. The car draws its power from 35 kw lithium-ion battery pack.
A smaller version of Korando – EREV – is also in the business for the manufacturer. The model looks like a plug-in hybrid. An internal combustion engine and an electric motor are destined to give the model a range of 250 miles. The most positive expectations of the Ssangyong fans is to see at least one of the two models till the end of the year.
