KIA Motors UK aims to increase yearly sales with new Rio, Soul Couv and Picanto from 56000 units in 2010 to 70000 units for the season 2011-2012.
The fastest growing South Korean carmaker wants to introduce in the UK for its consumers stylish vehicles with fuel economy.
Kia Motors have great expectations for the New Kia Picanto. The model with fresh design and improved safety is expected to become one of the most wanted cars from UK.
When the 3 and 5 door models will be available, Kia aims to increase its sales with 15000 units. The carmaker also hopes for a 10% share of the city car segment.
Another car scheduled to be launched in UK this September is the new Rio hatchback. Next year Rio will be the main volume booster.
The car is more dynamic and “European” according to Michael Cole, Kia UK Managing Director.
A mid size Optima sedan is also scheduled for the end of 2011. The car with 1.7 L diesel engine is mated to six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
About the new Optima D-segment aren’t huge sales expectations, but Michael Cole hopes for a quite well sell because Optima will showcase what Kia can do.
Kia also plans this autumn to put on sale a refreshed Soul crossover vehicle. But technical details will be released towards the end of the year.
